SOCIAL SECURITY, TAXES AND BULLSHIT

Dear Congress,

You people are seriously out of control. Social Security should not be on the table while other Americans and entities are exempt from paying taxes. Nor should it be on the table will the richest among us whine about possibly paying more taxes.

I have a challenge for you. Live in assisted living for three months. Pay all your expenses without social security. Enjoy your 800 square feet of private space for approximately three thousand dollars a month. Remember how hard the residents fought in World War II or waited anxiously for their loved one to return from war. This is the generation that actually sacrificed themselves for freedom. They all put their lives on the line to save our butts from insanity. They died, they bleed, they starved, they froze, they sweltered. Citizens gave up food and donated goods to support the war effort. They made America great.

The rich and powerful who create jobs that you are so worried about are a bunch of greedy bastards. They take from America and do not give back. They move jobs to other countries to increase their profit margins. They manufacture inferior goods and provide no customer service. They want to get richer and have the most toys when they die. I want them to pay the same 30 percent in taxes that I do.

Those GINORMOUS institutions that call themselves churches, they can be taxed too. Tax them heavily. They are an abomination. That isn't church. That's TeeVee and Christian entertainment. Tax them.

Take a hit yourselves. Give up your health care. Do it today. I don't care to pay for your health care like you don't care to pay for mine. Your pensions, cut them. Work without salaries for a while. You are all rich, you can afford it. Let's face it, politics is a rich man's game. An out of touch, clueless, rich man's game.

HELLO, you are running our lives. Try fairness. I realize that would be difficult for those of your ilk. That whole revolution thing is beginning to sound good. If we are going to suffer because you cannot do your jobs then I would rather suffer taking you out of office.

Walk in another man's shoes. Or better walk in a single mother's heels. Feed your family on that income. Live like an average American instead of tailored suited snobs. You would be surprised how your attitude might change.

Again, I ask you to please publish the articles in the Constitution that protect Corporations. I just cannot put my finger on them. Surely you aren't making things up as you go. Surely the Supreme Court isn't governing from the bench. That would be unAmerican.

The opposite of progress is still congress.

You're Welcome,
Lillybell Blues
